We have three different schemes, starting from £6.00 per month. You will be able to choose which one is right for you when your employer launches the service.

Your payments are usually managed by your employer through payroll on a monthly basis. However, if you wish to pay directly, you may be able to pay for the full year directly through your benefit portal.

You allowance depends upon the scheme you have selected and your monthly contribution towards the scheme.

Log into your EyeMed Member’s portal. Book an appointment with your chosen optician. Take your digital EyeMed claims documents to the appointment, and they will guide you through the process, including conducting an eyesight test and helping you choose  your glasses and recommending subsidised upgrades.

Once enrolled, the scheme is valid for 12 months.

Yes – you can buy additional membership for friends and family.

You must visit the optician you chose through your member’s portal.  However, if you require to change your chosen optician, please contact our Customer Service Team  and they will be happy to assist you.

The test will be conducted by a suitably qualified optometrist or ophthalmic medical practitioner. The examination is a full eye and eyesight test as defined by the Optician Act 1989.

This will not affect any rights you may have to receive your own NHS sight test.  You can still benefit from the EyeMed eyewear options and discounted upgrades.

Yes. The optical practice must offer this to you.

No need to pay anything to the opticians.  We will send you your itemised upgrade invoice with a link so that you can simply and easily pay the difference between your entitlement and your subsidised upgrade. Once you make the payment we will go ahead and manufacture your glasses.

Your glasses will typically take about 5-10 days to manufacture, and longer for more complex prescriptions.

You may choose any frame available from the optician and take advantage of our special discounts off the retail price (up to 20%).

All our progressive (varifocal) and degressive lenses come with a 30-day non-tolerance guarantee from the date of supply providing the prescription is correct. If you cannot tolerate the progressive/degressive lenses ordered within this time we will replace the lenses free of charge with single vision or basic D28 bifocals.

If there is a problem, you should return to the optical practice. The optician will check the prescription of the lenses.

In the first instance return to the same optician. If you chose the frames and lenses included with your voucher and supplied by us they will be covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects and the optician can return your glasses for repair or replacement. If you have chosen to upgrade your frame or lenses with your optician, then your statutory rights apply and any such claim for repair or replacement is between you and the optician.

You and your employer agree to pay for the full 12 months subscription. You cannot cancel your subscription mid-term without incurring the penalty for rest of the pending payments for your term. We will not refund any payments made on the termination of your employment mid-term of the membership subscription, whether the redemption was made or not.
